SMB Technology Boot Camp in Shanghai
|
|
As always, food wise for such event has always been much discussed, which i shant dwell much except free food buffet was fantastic.
The technology boot camp was suppose to be an eye-opener for me, considering myself a professional IT, what were discussed were not of much interest too me, as i've already known more or less. But it's the spirit of sharing, the main aim of the camp that was worth mentioning. To firms that have not encompass IT, this camp is definitely a booster for kickstarting

Zhengda Toy R US Fair & Hangout
|
|
Like a toddler missing out of toys, I was equally thrilled to see Toyrus opening in Shanghai. The first in Shanghai in fact. My over-obession with Scrab & Bog have left me dissapointed that the locals i knew know nothing about Scrabble nor Boggle.
The fanatic craze of people cashing out on English courses have not bring much equal knowledge leverage to the word games. Surprisingly but it's the fact. I finally see Scrabble board appearing on the shelves here, but well sad to say, no Boggle board as yet.
Anyway i glad that i've my own travel sets tucked with me. Come to think of it, i've not been on the games for quite awhile, and my wordlists are no longer on my head now. Guess i have to devote some time to 'recuperate' and 'absorb' back my word power
Zhengda Superbrand mall is expanding fast. Now she has 2 storeys of food restaurants, And lined up nicely are some of the restaurants listed in the must-try list of my little red book food guide. Not to mentioned there's Burger King (expanding its food chain in SHanghai too).
Now even my regular gym sessions are there too. Good thing i have a direct bus back home, though it requires near 1hr ride. I'm used to it already

Xinwang @ Orchard
|
|
Though couldnt meetup with most of the YEP gang, still glad that i manage to meet up with few of them. It's already past 1 year since our trip to Sri Lanka, which was by far one of my most memorable trips i ever had in my lifetime.
Just a bit of regret that i shouldnt have rescheduled to a week later when the 'heat' was still there, though i thought could be a last-minute call that was proposed to be at Holland Village . On the better side, at least i managed to catch up with my Scrab-bog kakis
Anyway, the day PSI was extremely bad, hovering over 130 if i didnt recall wrongly!
Jiajia and Qingyao made me waited outside the openair Kopitiam while they are happily chatting over project discussions in a red-stationed bus! .Only had a super-brief catchup with ++ after waiting for almost an hr over the road junction, before she headed for her voluntary night shift @ Nite Safari. Amazing man, it's that brief .
Hannah got misled and ended up making trip down from Holland V, Guoxiang was still happily shopping at Orchard then
Xinwang @ Singapore which we went for dinner, was stark in comparison with the one i frequent often in Shanghai. It's definitely thumbs down for SG. Menu variety is lacking, and a traditional Bo Luo bun should not be like that. Though i do feel the mango ice-kachang was worth the buy.
Can't wait to try to original at HK

Phuket Trip Day #1 Marriot Beach & Spa Resort Villa Chalet
|
|
As the name of the hotel sugguest, the apartment of the villa chalet is really gigantic,self-contained and lastly, luxurious Thanks for the good deal i got from my colleague, if not i would not be able to get to stay in such luxurious hotel at a super cheap price.for 4 days.
Not to mention, it was the pushing force that persuaded my parents to put down their business for a good holiday.
Have to devote a section just to see the hotel room.

Liqun Birthday and Gathering @ Ding Tai Feng Raffles City
|
|
Liqun and JJ my good old pals since college days. We never fails to meet up each time i'm back, no matter how last-minute our call for gathering is. Not to forget, so is Elke. THis time managed to get Baojiao.
Coincidentally this time round, my trip back & the gathering called for was Liqun birthday too. Just nice!
Dunno why, this trip back ended up at places that Shanghai have also. Like this case, Ding Tai Feng. Ding Tai Feng is classified by New York's Time in their World Top 5 Fine Dining Restaurant. Her speciality is best known for her delicate xiao long baos which are made at exact precision - 18 folds (if i didint remember wrongly) and each must fall at a specific weight range!
Amazing huh. So is the price man
